The fifth conference for Year 11 able-linguists was held at Cowes Yacht Haven on Friday 22 January 2010. Participants from all five island high schools attended the event which was aimed at encouraging more students to continue their language studies post-16.

Students and Staff raised £268.41  for charity by holding a Mufty Day on Friday 18 December 2009. This money will be donated to Guide Dogs for the Blind and Ryde Inshore Rescue,  which are the chosen charities of the school this year.

Ten students from STUCOM School in Barcelona visited the Isle of Wight from the 3 to the 14 November. They were over here on a work related learning project funded by the Catalunyan government.
