GCSE Exam Results

We are extremely pleased to report that the hard work, commitment and dedication of staff and students at the school have achieved the best ever results at Ryde High School at GCSE We have achieved 47% 5+A*-C including English GCSE and Maths GCSE up by 8% from the previous year. We have also achieved 67% 5+A*-C up by 14% on the previous year.

Ryde High School has for the fourth successive year recorded a significant improvement in results at Post 16.
Year 13 students achieved 64% A-C grade and there was also an improvement in the number of A grades awarded with A*/A at 16%. The school was delighted to achieve the new A* grade introduced this year in some subjects.The overall pass rate A*-E is 97%.

Ryde Arts Parade

Students and Staff from Ryde High School participated in the Ryde Arts Parade on Saturday 3 July. Ryde High joined the 21 other groups who entered the parade providing their own interpretation of the main theme “Amazing Journeys”. The hard work and dedication of those involved culminated in a spectacular parade along the streets of Ryde which was watched by over 800 people. A big thank you to all those involved!

Year 11 Prom 2010

Year 11 Students celebrated the end of their GCSE exams with a Prom held at Ryde Castle Hotel on Wednesday 30 June 2010. The event was organised by a group of Year 11 students Shaeli Cook, Maisie Cottrell-Newson, Karen Elliott, Jessicalin Harvey, Annabel Keeble, Lucy Moul,and Gemma Nixon who were supported by three members of teaching staff, Mrs Emery, Miss Knight and Mr Harwood (Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator).
