As a school we try to promote healthy eating and exercise as part of a whole school ethos of healthy mind and body.  There are lots of after school physical activities for pupils to take part  in to keep their bodies fit and active. 

The school canteen only serves a balanced ‘healthy’ diet.  This encompasses fresh fruit, salads and vegetables every day.  It is balanced with protein and carbohydrates.  We have no vending machines to sell fizzy drinks, sweets or snacks.  We also encourage students who bring in their lunch from home to include healthy items.

 

 

Change 4 Life

 

Did you know that if we carry on as we are, 9 out of 10 of today’s kids risk growing up with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies? This can cause serious illnesses like heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes in later life.

We all want our children to grow up to be happy, healthy adults. But it can sometimes be hard to know how. So Change4Life has been launched to help us all, but especially our kids, eat well, move more and live longer.
